Closing the door on another great school year of work. Progress will resume in September.
With the interior and exterior 90% completed, it was time for a proper photo shoot. Thanks to Design Lead Justin Witt for taking these beautiful photographs of the Porsche.            After a thorough Meguiar's detail and wax, Chase applies a SGS Motorsports decal to the rear window.  Max adjusts the rear decklid so it closes smoother.  (L to R) Kelvin, Kishan, Martin, George, and Max all helped transport the Porsche to Madonna Meadows for the event.  Ever since the Porsche was donated, the speedometer was missing and our team decided to design a mount in its place that would allow an iPod App to display speed and other vehicle data.  Interior Lead Max Kassan started by cutting a template that was the same size as the speedometer hole.  The mount is from an ordinary dashboard phone mount. The sides are spring loaded, allowing a variety of phones or iPods to fit.  Max drilling a hole in the template so we can make space for the mount.  Final cuts.  Test fitting using the housing from a broken Porsche gauge.  The completed mount is ready for paint and installation.  The mount is painted and installed.  iPhone mounted with the vehicle speed application.  The racing bucket seats are completed with Leather side bolsters and Suade/Alcantara center accents.  Big thanks to Mitch's Stitches in San Luis Obispo for helping us make the seats and other interior pieces.
