The Cal Poly Motor Car Association Advisory Board is comprised of community leaders, automotive executives, and professionals who have expressed significant interest in this organization and its students. The invited Advisory Board members have generously agreed to be available as knowledgeable resources to Cal Poly MCA student members who are interested in learning more about the automotive industry, and can be especially useful for students interested in pursuing a career involving automobiles after graduation.
Mr. Bob Dunn - Sales & Marketing Vice President, Volkswagen of America, Western Region (Ret.) - Executive Partner, Cal Poly Orfalea College of Business. CPMCA Advisory Board Member since 2011.
After 31 years in a variety of sales and marketing management positions, Mr. Dunn retired from Volkswagen in 2002. Since that time he has been a marketing and advertising instructor at Cuesta Community College, a marketing lecturer at Cal Poly and at the International Graduate School, Seinijoki University, Finland.
As Sales and Marketing Vice President of VW’s Western Region, Mr. Dunn was responsible for market research, product planning, marketing strategy, large volume wholesale sales and distribution, advertising, public relations, new product launch, marketing management and general sales management. During his career he especially enjoyed the role of coach and mentor to new employees, driving fast cars, and being responsible for product launches including the New Beetle. He is a former member of the San Luis Obispo County Grand Jury and mentor for Big Brothers of America. Mr. Dunn earned his B.S. in Finance and an MBA from Cal State University at Long Beach.

Ms. Lesley M. Friedman, Esq - Counsel to the Cal Poly MCA.
Ms. Friedman is a graduate of Mt. Holyoke College and the New York University School of Law. She specializes in assisting not-for-profit organizations. She has attended both the Quail, a Motorsports Gathering, and the Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance, and is an avid classic motor car enthusiast.
